On the obverse side, the platinum American Eagle features the powerful image of Lady Liberty, symbolising the American spirit and character. The obverse side bears the inscription “LIBERTY” and also the date of issue, and the pronouncements “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” (Out of many, one).
